How To Find The Balance Between Busy & Healthy

Many times, we know that we need to find time for self care we just don't do it. But as Speaker & Self Care Expert Jeanette Bronée says, self care isn't something that you should force. It should be something that you do throughout the day.

Learn more about balancing your busy life with a healthy life in this segment from the What Sales Can Learn About Self Care session.

Carole Mahoney:
When we look at self-care, and I know for me, this was the struggle is, how do I find the time? There's so many other things that I could be doing.

How do you help people find that balance between being busy and healthy?

Jeanette Bronée:
That's the other myth about self-care, right, is that self-care takes time. Because again, it looks as if it's time away from something rather than something we do to support us in spending time better.

Carole Mahoney:
Interesting.

Jeanette Bronée:
So for example, have you ever felt like you couldn't focus and you felt like you just kept going over the same thing over and over again? You knew you had to finish it, so you keep pushing through, but you're actually hungry. But, you really got to finish before you go and eat something. And then before you know it, another two hours pass by. Finally, you give up. You go eat something and you come back, and you're like, "What was I doing? This is not making any sense."

Carole Mahoney:
Why didn't I see that right in front of me, kind of thing?

Jeanette Bronée:
Yeah. This isn't making any sense. And then, you sit down. And then in half an hour, it's just done and much better. That's often what happens, right? Because we keep pushing through without the support of, for example, our blood sugar, our energy, we might not even drink water.

Those are just basic, basic things that shouldn't be taking time away.

Carole Mahoney:
Yeah.

Jeanette Bronée:
You can argue that it seems as if they take time away because we have to stop and go eat. But, the reality is that they give us time back and that's where the importance is. The importance is that it's the focus on how we are working better and functioning better because we took care of ourselves. That's where the proactive mindset comes in. Right?

That's where it comes in that this is something that we do because we need to be fully engaged, pay full attention, have the energy and the mindset. So, that's just the basic physical energy.
