However, the reality is that companies that understand their unique niche and focus on serving it are the ones most likely to succeed. The Power of Focusing on Your Unique Niche

When you zero in on a specific problem or market segment, you start to uncover its broader challenges. This deeper understanding not only allows you to create more effective and comprehensive solutions but also sparks a sense of curiosity and engagement. Furthermore, curiosity and engagement often lead to the exciting discovery of additional needs that aren't being addressed, inspiring and motivating you as an entrepreneur.

My Journey: From Individual Coaching to Comprehensive Services

Take, for example, my journey in one-to-one coaching. Initially, I focused solely on helping individual clients. But I soon realized that many of these clients were in roles that didn't suit them. I needed to ensure they were in the right positions from the start to be effective. This insight led me to expand my services to include hiring consultations. Then, I noticed another issue—managers who didn't know how to coach, which often undid all the progress made. To address this, I developed training programs for managers as well.

Expanding Services by Addressing Specific Needs

This evolution of services all stemmed from a deep focus on my niche. By understanding the specific challenges within it, I could identify and address related issues, creating a more comprehensive solution for my clients.



Unexpected Opportunities Through Niche Focus

This principle of focusing on your niche can lead to unexpected opportunities. For instance, a neuroscience class I took at Wharton led me to brainstorm a startup idea—a tech solution using AI to create an engaging training app for sales professionals. The idea was inspired by observing how my kids interact with video games, learning new skills and strategies in a fun and engaging way. Why not apply the same concept to sales training?

The Power of Ambitious Goals in Business Success

Reflecting on the success of my first book, where we sold over 6,000 copies, I realized the power of setting ambitious goals. My initial goal was to sell 5,000 copies by the end of the year, a milestone we surpassed. This achievement not only motivated me but also inspired me to aim even higher—why not reach a million copies? If 6,000 people have been impacted by it so far, why not a million?
